Mmasea matriculated at the top of her drama class with Full Colours in Drama and Half Colours in Musical Theatre from The National School of the Arts. Before looking to complete her articles on law, Mmasea decided to follow her true passion in media and entertainment. She got her start at a community radio station 906 FM before getting her first break in commercial radio hosting the Breakfast Xtra and Weekend Breakfast shows on Jacaranda FM. It wasn't long before she got the opportunity to join the 947 family as a part of the afternoon drive show with Greg and Lucky as well as 947 Weekends every Saturday afternoon. As a voice artist Mmasea has voiced a variety of radio spots as well as voicing for the feature film Vehicle 19 starring the late Paul Walker. Mmasea is also a TV field presenter for the SAFTA Award winning show 50/50.
