KAGISO INNOCENT SEKETE (26), Director, Cinematographer, Comedian, Producer AND Actor.
The 27-Years-old Meadowlands Zone1 native originally hails from Tlhabane in Rustenburg and a

“When i was young i was passionate about films, how they are made and who the people behind the
scenes are”.
It all started when i was still in grade 9, i would always use my cell phone to shoot and edit, and luckily it was a cellphone that had an editing software in it. Also i would go to SowetoTV studio and Zone14 set just to see how they do this,” he said.
Sekete said that after matriculating he didn’t want any job but to follow his talent. He added, “I didn’t want to shatter my dreams by working for someone because it would have been a waste of all my effort”.
At first my family didn’t believe that i would be this far, they all thought that this was just a hobby. “I usually used my cellphone to shoot short clips and edited them without anyone’s help”.
I would send them to the people within the community and they really loved them. That’s when i felt encouraged. “The love and passion i have for film is inexplicable,” he said.
IN 2016 I WAS FEATURED on a youth show of SABC1 “Bona Reetsang” as a young filmmaker which also gave me a great credit as a young upcoming filmmaker in Mzansi.
I then registered my own production company in 2017 which i am currently working with Tumie Kopeka and Kelebogile Lefakane.
We combine ideas from reality shows, short stories, documentaries and reality shows.
We have shot music video (for Miano, Dokotela, Eminent Fam, Musiholiq etc.), and have shot Short stories for Youtube titled "Skopas & Mazababa short film and The Brief Case
short film".
I also worked with Lebogang Lethole of Kuvha Connections shooting a music video of Lection ft DJjCleo – cava Senzani in 2016. During the time i got a call from urban brew studios to work with them as an actor playing the role of the isikhothane.
I moved to Vaal in 2016 and we were helping out with shooting short movies and music videos.
I see myself as 1 of the best youngest film makers in SA.
