I'm an astute and committed academic who rides on the crest of lecturing mass communication and conducting research at University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. In addition, I'm a passionate writer, author and manuscript reviewer. Currently, I'm a member of the review board of Computers in Human Behaviour (CHB) journal published by the famous Elsevier in addition to other journals. In 2018, I received Publons global award for being a top reviewer. Also, currently, I'm doing my PhD research in mass communication at Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Nigeria. From 2000 to 2010, I worked as radio broadcaster and journalist at Yobe Broadcasting Corporation (YBC) Damaturu. From 2010 to date, I've been reaching mass communication at University of Maiduguri. I had my Master's degree in development communication in 2017 at Universiti Putra Malaysia and my first degree in mass communication at University of Maiduguri in 2007. I'm married to one wife and have three kids.

Currently, I teach mass communication at the Department of Mass Communication, University of Maiduguri, a job I've been doing since 2010. Earlier, from 2000 to 2010, I worked as a radio broadcast journalist at Yobe Broadcasting Corporation (YBC) Damaturu. I served as consultant to an NGO briefly.
