bio

I watched a lady on stage, acting in the most beautiful way, and I knew that was exactly what I wanted to be. She moved with grace and fire and such beauty. Done with with school at 19, I would find my self in the same stage, performing at the PHOENIX PLAYERS which I believed to be one of the most honorable moments in my life. It was like a school for me, where once on stage and out of it, I was awarded with the greatest standing ovation of all time. From that moment, I knew, I was born to be a performer. To tell stories of different people, great and weak women with equal measure. My favorite play, a raisin in the sun, a story of hope of Ruth, who symbolizes the many hopes and dreams of many women.

I would equally be luck to be selected in an AMOF movies series twice by Insignia production. My greatest film, Inherited that spoke for the traditional woman. The lives of many women, with little or no dreams. It got me regional recognition, almost being signed up by an international agent for presenting and acting.

My greatest expertise of course has been in presenting. I have hosted shows, produced shows, ad have literally put my feet on the ground in as many roles.

My mission is reach the world stage, in all it's glory and make immense impact through my art. Following my position as the Kenya Representative of the Africa Youth Development Commission, I believe I am well suited to act in roles that place women in position of power, and potential heroes in the society.

experience

At 19, I took myself to the national theater for auditions. It would be my very first audition, and would immediately get a role in a series of set books. Everyday on stage practicing and eventually to the most fulfilling moment of being on stage.

I have never experienced anything more amazing and spectacular. I would find myself later at the Alliance francaise as an actress again with heartstrings, which was of course a great entry in to comic performance. Later I would have the grand honor of about two years and more at the PHOENIX PLAYERS. This is where I learned the world of acting. It became the home to my prowess as an actress.

This is what ushered me in to journalism, reporting, presenting and even producing. Eventually I would be called for an Africa wide film courtesy of AMOF. This was my biggest breakthrough in acting as it was the dream. I was spotted regionally with offer for collaboration with Ghana and Tanzania.

However, I did not pursue it to the end as was always torn between my corporate existence and my love for art. But as they always say once a performer, always one. I have equally been featured in a number of commercials and equally interviewed in the media.

Today, I write, coordinate a group of creative to create more content for TV  and I also work as a Kenya Representative to AYDEC. This enables me as a personality, to connect across the region as well.

Equally I am a correspondent with YALI TV, which equally connects me to the entire region as well.
