Chioma Paul- is an emerging filmmaker from Lagos with aspirations of soaring within Africa’s film industry. With a BA in Mass Communication, the 26-year-old has already begun to make a major impact on video entertainment – with projects such as the recently released short film Redress.
Despite her growing presence in film already, Chioma says she is excited to join MTF to harness her filmmaking abilities and also acquire new skills in film editing or directing. An advocate for Africa’s film and TV industry, Chioma says, “There’s an assembly of creative and passionate young filmmakers who are ready to tell stories about Africa and beyond – and the industry welcomes us with open arms.”
Ready to tell filmic stories to the world, Chioma believes that filmmakers can engender new ways of seeing, and says, “We creatives have the power to change the narrative and foster positive change.”
