If you love fufu with palm nut soup, then you have found a friend in 26-year-old videographer, photographer and graphic designer Edmund Asamoah. Born in Accra, Ghana, Edmund holds a BA in Communication Design and Multimedia.

As a lover of technology, it’s no wonder that his favourite place in the world is China. It is however Africa’s richness of culture that Edmund loves the most about the continent. His favourite place in the world is also in Africa - at the Cape Coast in Southern Ghana.

For Edmund, the one thing that makes a good film is its storyline His favourite films and films and TV shows include 12 Angry Men, Perfect Picture, Wild 24 and National Geographic respectively.

His favourite film creative is Nigerian actor Pete Edochie, whom Edmund admires for his various acting roles. He also admires Samuel L Jackson for the actor’s ability to also fit any kind of role he is given.

Edmund hopes to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible from all parts of the continent as a MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy student.  He also believes he can add originality in storyline and content creation to the continent’s creative film and TV industry.

If he could create a TV show, it would be about telling more stories about Africa, whether good or bad. For him, the future of film and television in the continent lies in the hands of young people.

“With the emergence of young content creators and social media, I think it’s going to be great. Stories [can end up being] shared with the world, instead of [with] the continent only,” says Edmund.
