This week we’re looking at films and series that are not only entertaining and engaging, but make big social statements in and about our communities; from Kenya’s first Showmax original depicting real-life crime stories, to an out-of-the-box South African documentary that has gained various global accolades and awards, as well as two series that have been nominated in the Best Series category at the 2021 Uganda Film Festival! We’re also going to have an inspiring chat with Clara Njeru and Vanessa Ford, who produced Africa’s first animated superhero series straight from Kenya!
