MTF East Africa Class of 2020 Short Films

The Multichoice Talent Factory 2nd Cohort was way into their programme. They had covered 50% and were looking forward to more practical production projects, culminating into two feature films and graduation. COVID-19 hit and they had to go back home to their countries and families. In the MTF spirit of learning how to make films by actually making them, and to keep them busy and motivated in such difficult circumstances, MTF EA students made mobile films based on their COVID isolation experiences. These are their films.

    Synopsis:

    A young boy takes us through life in the slum during a pandemic.

    A father who is separated from his family because of work and suffers from starving at home due to lockdown. Gets into crime activities to survive.

    Synopsis:

    A mesmeric slice of life film. Stuck in quarantine due to the COVID 19 pandemic, a young college student goes on about her life. As she awaits the day to be reunited with her friends.
